Durable, Sustainable, & Versatile Shoes

Do you want new stylish shoes but you don’t want to put money into fast fashion or contribute to waste in the oceans? BlueView is working to make the world a better place for generations to come by creating the world’s first biodegradable shoe. Their shoes are the coolest, cleanest shoes on the planet without compromising durability and comfort.

Blueview is the first to combine biodegradable materials with massive comfort and serious durability. This shoe is a game changer by checking both the sustainable and stylish boxes. This eco-minded team is made up of biotech entrepreneurs, material scientists, and footwear experts. Their purpose is to fight global plastic pollution and our mission is to accelerate the transition to plant based biodegradable materials in the footwear industry.

Verified by scientific data, Blueview is the world’s first biodegradable and durable sneaker. But how does it actually work? First they built an insanely great shoe. It’s a simple, timeless design that can be worn for almost any occasion. The anatomical fit and shape of the sneaker make it instantly comfortable without having to endure the “break in” phase. They even come with a removable strap design so you can have the loafer or classic slip on style. Plus, with colors like Vintage Black, Sand Dune, Olive, Overcast Gray, Denim, you can have a color and style for every occasion.

Next comes sustainability. They made sure it was the most environmentally friendly shoe that has ever been built. These shoes are made from newly engineered plant based & biodegradable materials that were invented to replace traditional “forever” petroleum plastics. The upper portion of the shoe is made of PlantKnit, which is a one piece, machine knitted fabric constructed from a blend of hemp and eucalyptus yarn.

And the bottom is made of Soleic, a new plant based and fully biodegradable polyurethane foam invented at their very own science labs in CA. Believe it or not, their science team spent 6 years and $15 million in government grants to invent Soleic.

So why should anyone care about all of this? Well, it’s all about the ripple effect of the shoe industry. Footwear is one of the most polluting industries on earth, as it typically ranks from #4 to #10 most polluting. Each year, 25 billion pairs of shoes are made and the vast majority of them are made from petroleum plastics that last 400-500 years. And 7 billion of these pairs of shoes will end up in a landfill per year.
