More about the episode
Josh sits down with MountainFLOW founder Peter Arlein. Though it may not be something you think about frequently, the wax on your skis and snowboards doesn’t last forever and commonly ends up in snowpack, and eventually rivers and lakes. MountainFLOW makes plant-based 100% biodegradable ski and snowboard wax with the aim at creating a less impactful wax. They first launched with an anti-stick backcountry spray to keep snow from caking on your skis but, their eco-wax quickly followed suit. When Arlein got into the ski wax game he knew he wanted to take a sustainable approach but, he wasn’t quite sure what that looked like. In this episode we dive a little deeper into how Peter fine-tuned plant-based wax as an environmentally conscious option and what actually goes into the wax your ironing onto your skis.
